A report from Marg Hickman on the success of the Christmas Afternoon Tea in Chebsey
– 136 attended plus 15 helpers on the day, additional 7 volunteers who baked cakes etc. prior to the day
– 43 Santa presents plus 7 Santa’s helpers (young people who helped) presents
– Profit for the day £303.60, paid into Parish Council Account – to be held and ring fenced for community projects
– Donated £50 to Chernobyl Children’s Project
– Donation to Rotary, Eccleshall for Santa
– Residents from Cold Norton, Norton Bridge, Hilcote, Lower Heamies, Chebsey, Shallowford and Scamnel attended
– Volunteers/helpers came from all the above hamlets/villages
– The day couldn’t have been possible without the huge commitment from many many parishioners which included those that donated raffle prizes, whose who baked cakes and made sandwiches, those who helped on the day including Santa.
