Fundraising Walk 11th September 2021

Dear Friends,

This has been an extraordinarily difficult year for many people. There is no doubt many have missed having our churches open as places of prayer and worship for long periods over the last 18 months. It is my hope that as our churches return to being open and active they will be a valuable resource for our communities in the time of recovery that is ahead.

You will appreciate the financial challenges that churches being closed and unable to hold services and events has had. This poses a challenge to reopening buildings and restarting services. As such we will be holding a church fundraiser in September for the Benefice to raise money for the recovery of all our parish churches.

We are undertaking a ‘Pilgrimage Walk’ between each of our Parish churches on Saturday 11th September 2021. The cross country route will include 3 legs and at each church their will be refreshments and a brief act of worship which people might wish to join in if they are unable to join the walk between the churches.

We are asking that, should you be able to join us on 1 or more of the legs of the walk, you might begin to raise money through sponsorship over the summer ( a form is available from Rev Doug or Anne Wiliams). Alternatively you may wish to simply make a donation to sponsor the event through an online donation to one or more of the churches which can be made by clicking on the church links below:

Donate to All Saints Chebsey
Donate to St Mary’s Ellenhall
Donate to All Saints Ranton
Donate to St Chad’s Seighford with Great Bridgeford and Creswell

More information on the walk and the services will follow but do save the date and get sponsored, or consider making an online donation to kick start the churches back into active service in our communities.

With thanks and prayers

Doug
